Chicago Ship Masters Lodge #3

For over 135 years, we have supported the professional mariner on the Chicago Waterways. Our mission is to provide professional mariners and others involved with the maritime industry, a platform to collaborate and a unified voice for concern, when needed. Together we preserve tradition, promote safety & professionalism, and provide a venue to learn and build our careers together.

Northeast Maritime Institute

In 2015, NMI opened the College of Maritime Science after receiving approval from the United States Coast Guard’s National Maritime Center and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Higher Education to deliver the Associate in Applied Science in Nautical Science Degree. A key to our success is our focus on delivering the best possible higher education experience through our “micro-college model” and developing comprehensive and engaging cooperative educational models that we can share with global partners who can teach, mentor and perhaps employ our students in maritime and ocean-oriented fields.  Contact NMI

We are located on Texas A&M’s Galveston Campus, a hub of marine, coastal and maritime excellence in the vibrant coastal community of Galveston, Texas. Living Lands & Waters

To aid in the protection, preservation, and restoration of the natural environment of the nation's major rivers and their watersheds.  Headquartered in East Moline, Illinois, Living Lands & Waters is a 501 (c)(3) environmental organization that was established by Chad Pregracke in 1998. Spending up to 9 months a year living and traveling on the barge, the Living Lands & Waters' crew hosts river cleanups, watershed conservation initiatives, workshops, tree plantings and other key conservation efforts. Since the organization was founded, Living Lands & Waters has grown to be the only “industrial strength” river cleanup organization like it in the world.  Contact LL&W

Women in Marine Operations

In order to meet the growing interest, the organization restructured in January 2019 resulting in the WIMOs National Board and the Southern Louisiana Chapter. Our second chapter, the West Kentucky Chapter, was formed in Paducah, Kentucky in April 2019. Our third chapter, the Houston Chapter, was formed in Houston, Texas in November 2019. Our fourth chapter, Ohio Valley (Pittsburgh, PA to Louisville, KY), was formed in November 2022. Our fifth chapter, Coastal Bend (Port Lavaca, TX to Port of Brownsville, TX), was formed in July 2023. Our sixth chapter, Pacific Northwest (Portland, OR to Seattle, WA) formed in October 2023. Our first Junior Chapter was formed at Texas A&M University - Galveston in August 2024.  Contact WIMOS

AWO is proud to serve as the tugboat, towboat and barge industry’s advocate, resource, and united voice for safe, sustainable and efficient transportation on America’s waterways, oceans and coasts. MCA - Casualty Prevention

Compliance Alliance was formed in 2019 by compliance professionals wanting to establish a forum to discuss inland marine regulatory compliance. It was then more formally established as Marine Compliance Alliance, Inc. in early 2021. It is designed to serve and protect the best interests of the inland marine operators. Its membership consists of a vast network of inland marine compliance professionals sharing lessons learned and best practices in risk management, regulatory compliance and serves as a unified voice on behalf of inland operators for reasonable and optimal solutions for the continual improvement of safety, security and environmental protection, while sustaining economic viability.
